Niğtaş calcium carbonate products can be used as bridging agent and weighting agent in oil and water based drilling fluids. It is preferred in reservoir applications as a very useful material in preventing fluid invasion and loss of circulation in permeable areas.
Barium Sulfates (Barite) are used in the drilling industry to stabilize the weight of the drilling fluid and control the pressure at the bottom of the borehole.
Niğtaş Barite products help to restrict high formation pressures and improve mud mobility by increasing slurry density. It can be applied to deep, high temperature wells. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does not classify barite additive as hazardous waste.
