The high thermal conductivity of Niğtaş Calcium Carbonate products accelerates extrusion, sheet and thermoforming processes. Hard calcium carbonate particles provide the advantages of lower shrinkage and improved forming. The addition of calcium carbonate to the polymer matrix reduces the amount of viscoelastic material in the formulation. Thus, it reduces typical viscoelastic behaviors such as mold swelling and sharkskin.
In general, the modification of thermoplastics with calcium carbonate offers the opportunity to significantly improve production performance, depending on machine equipment and processing conditions.
